Iowa State ranked third in the nation in women’s basketball attendance for the 2009-2010 season.

In 19 home games at Hilton Coliseum, the average crowd numbered 9,316.

Tennessee (12,896) and Connecticut (10,182) were the national attendance leaders. After ISU, Notre Dame (8,377) was fourth and Purdue (8,159) fifth.

As a league, the Big 12 led the nation in attendance for the 11th straight season, averaging 5,247 fans per game.

The Southeastern Conference was second with 4,005 fans per game, followed by the Big Ten (3,997), Big East (2,996) and Atlantic Coast (2,719).

Colorado and Missouri were the only Big 12 teams not to rank in the top 50 in attendance.
