Pinkerton named assistant for USA futures national team

Iowa State assistant softball coach Jamie Pinkerton has been selected as an assistant coach for the USA futures national team, which will play against the USA national team and in the World Cup of Softball this summer.
“It is an honor to be part of the USA Softball Women’s National program,” Pinkerton said.
The futures team will face the national team on June 16 and 17 in Canton, Ohio. It will also compete in the World Cup of Softball on July 22 to 26 in Oklahoma City.
Pinkerton just finished his first season with the Cyclones. He was the head coach at Arkansas for five years before coming to Ames.
