ISU men’s golf coach Jay Horton resigned on Monday. Horton took over the program in 1999 on an interim basis. He became the head coach in 2000.

In Horton’s tenure, the Cyclones won seven tournaments.

“It has been my pleasure to coach the men’s golf team at Iowa State the past 11 years,” said Horton. “I thoroughly have enjoyed all my experiences and opportunities at Iowa State University, but I have decided to pursue other opportunities for my own career.”
